UMD Labor Organizations ask USM Board of Regents to Support Collective Bargaining Rights

On September 21st, UMD AAUP joined with UMD’s Graduate Labor Union and the campus Local 1072 of AFSCME in a rally ahead of the University System of Maryland’s Board of Regents meeting on September 22nd.

The groups demanded that the University System of Maryland’s Board of Regents support their push to legalize collective bargaining for graduate assistants and faculty members.

On September 22nd, the organizations attended the Regents meeting and sent the following letter asking the Regents to support the people who make the university great.
